Pokemon GO : Tips & Tricks
Once you’ve Pokemon GO up and running, you will find most of your time being spent in catcing pokemons. Pokemons are found everywhere, from city to forests. But, the best pokemons are not always found where you’d expect them. After playing the game for a while, you will get to know some tips and tricks. And like most of us, you’d wanted to know them when you started the game. Most of these are tips and tricks you should not before beginning the game. And others will help you learn things a lot faster. Because, the truth be told, Pokemon GO is prett vague and has not explained almost anything clearly.
Here are the Tips & Tricks which one should know before they start Pokemon GO:
1. How to select Pikachu as your Starter
Right at the beginning of the game, the Professor will ask you to choose one pokemon between Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Pick none of them. Rather, physically run away from them. They will try to follow you. Run until your phone vibrates and you’re prompted again to catch one of them. Run away until you get another prompt. Repeat the steps five times. BOOM! Pikachu will appear and you’ll be able to catch him as your starter.
2. How to capture wild Pokemons
Rustling leaves are used to show where wild Pokémon could be lurking. Once you’re trying to capture one though, the game will shift and use your smartphone camera to show the creature in augmented reality. The white ring surrounding the beastie will change depending on how likely you are to capture it – smaller is better. When it turns to green, then it’s time to throw your ball.
3. How to get free Pokeballs
Once you’re into this game, you’ll soon use up all your Pokeballs. Pokeballs are used to store the Pokemons you catch. If you can’t catch Pokemons in one shot, you’ll get short of Pokeballs very soon. Even if you’re good, you’ll still need a large amount of pokeballs to catch the vast number of pokemons in the game. To get more pokeballs, you can buy them from the store with real money. You’ll get a bunch of pokebals once you reach a next level. The best way to get pokeballs is from PokeStops. PokeStops are locations based on various landmarks, monuments, religious places, metro stations and so on. You’ll find these PokeStops by the blue squares that fill your Pokemon Go maps. When you get close enough, you just spin the icon and various items will appear.
4. Battery Usage
Pokemon GO uses various phone’s features to make the game work properly. It’s constantly using data connection to add pokemons in your map and to sync the progress with the server. Location is tracked by GPS. The game uses gyroscope and accelerometer to track the moments of the device. If you use Augment Reality, camera will also be used. As a result, the game’s going to heavily drain the battery of your smartphone.
Thankfully, both the Android and IOS versions of the game has inbuilt battery saver. You can enable it from settings to save your battery.
5. Try Parking Lots!
For some reasons, the probability of finding pokemons in Parking Lots is pretty high. I don’t know why, but pokemons seem to love Parking Lots, especially if they’re near PokeStops.
6. Turn off Augment Reality
Even though, AR looks cool with pokemons spawning around you. It is not so cool. It makes catching pokemons much more difficult. Not to mention, the battery drain it causes. To turn off Augment Reality, switch off AR while catching a pokemon. You can always turn it back on when you wish to.
7. Recover thrown Pokeballs
If you accidentally throw a ball at the grass away from the pokemon, don’t worry you can hopefully still revive it. Tap the thrown ball to try to get it back to your backpack. This trick seems to work almost all the time. Still, tap on your own risks. I will not be responsible for any nuclear wars!
8. If the game crashes, do not worry
Pokemon GO is getting so much popular day by day that Niantic’s servers are frequently overloaded. The game can crash or hang up after you catch the pokemon, leaving it in motionless state. But don’t worry, simply remove the game from recents menu and relaunch it. You’ll either have automatically caught the Pokemon, or it will still be spawned.
9. How to track nearby Pokemons
The graphic within the bottom right space of the screen indicates a number of Pokemon nearby, with the quantity of footsteps indicative of how far they’re from you. to trace a Pokemon, tap the bar to bring up the complete list, choose a particular Pokemon to focus on it, and then start walking. The footsteps will either decrease, or increase until the Pokemon disappears fully. If the quantity of steps decreases, it suggests that the Pokemon is getting closer. This technique can be used to track a Pokemon till it appears.
If you go into a direction and more steps appear, try turning around and walking in another direction till the Pokemon gets closer. once the Pokemon is all the way down to zero steps, it suggests that it is very close to you! simply choose it, and wait a couple of seconds for it to appear. you may additionally notice pulses that emit as you explore the map. They indicate when major changes have occurred within the availability of the area’s Pokemon.
10. Transfer same Pokemons!
While it would not appear like it initially, having duplicate Pokemon will really assist you. extra Pokemon of the same kind can be traded to professor Willow for candy, which may be used to evolve your Pokemon. To do this, tap a Pokemon that you just need to get rid of in the Pokemon screen and hit ‘Transfer’ option at the bottom of the screen. Be wary; confirm you do not transfer the most powerful version (highest CP) of a given Pokemon kind in your rush to get rid of your duplicates.

5 Things You Didn’t Know Google Could Do
5 Things You Didn’t Know Google Could Do
Google is widely known as the Internet’s best search engine. Everybody with access to the internet uses Google at some point to find something (or many things) on the web for a particular web page, or a certain piece of information.
However, Google has several built in functions that will help you make your searches more successful, and to enable you to spend less time searching. I have written a post about some tricks that will help you with your image search and that will ‘give you the power’ to Find Images by Exact Dimensions, File Type or From Specific Website. That should make your search for new wallpapers that perfectly fit to your screen resolution as easy as walk in a park.
But today I’ve decided to expand that post and to tell you about a list of 5 functions that you did not know before (I think), all accessible from the main Google search box (frontpage), which will help youfind every piece of information you are looking for.
1. Removing unwanted (unrelated) results:
Ever searched for something before, and had a whole list of completely irrelevant web pages come up? This is annoying at the best of times, as it takes time to check and read through the list of sites and find the one you actually want.
For example, if you were looking for a review of the book “Harry Potter” (whatever part of it), and you typed into Google “Harry Potter review”, many of the links listed are reviews of the movie, not the book. Because you are not looking for a review of the movie, you can remove all pages related to the movie by adding “-movie” to the end of your search terms.
This will now display all the pages relevant to “Harry Potter review“, but not relevant to ” Harry Potter movie”.
2. Use Google as an excellent Calculator:
Google can be used as a calculator, answering anything from the simplest math to the most complex equation. Just enter your math question, and Google will display the answer. (Damn, I wish I knew this earlier)
+ is used to add terms, – to subtract terms, * to multiply terms, and / to divide terms. Besides these basic operators, you can use ^ to work out something to the power of something (for example, “2^4” would be 2 to the power of 4), and “sqrt“ (without quotation marks) to calculate the square root of a number (for example, “sqrt 4” would be the square root of 4).
3. Find Dictionary Definitions
By typing “define:” before a word, Google will retrieve and display a list of dictionary definitions for that word. Very useful function…
4. Search A Single Website
If you type “site:” and then a website after a search term, Google will search for your term(s) in only the site dictated. For example, the following search will search the keyword “Windows 7″ only this blog.
5. Search for A Specific File Type:
As I am sure you are aware, there are many files hosted on the internet besides the standard ‘html websites’. Therefore, searching for a specific type of file could make your search a lot easier. For example, if you were looking for a PDF version of the iPhone manual, you could use the following search, which would produce more accurate (and less) results.
Here the “filetype:” tool is making Google search the web for PDF files only, therefore eliminating any pages that we didn’t want to see.
These are just 5 useful functions that Google can perform, there are many more for you to discover, and they can all be mixed and matched! If you know some more functions post them in comments and share with others. I hope this helped you to find that ever-elusive page or snippet of info. Have fun, and happy searching!

You can also follow these instructions when making a CD. You just have to burn it on the cd.
You can also follow these instructions when making a CD. You just have to burn it on the cd.
When you plug a USB drive in, you might be interested in making a program, or other things happen as soon as you plug in. The way you accomplish this is through the Autorun.inf file. The autorun.inf file is located in the root of the usb drive and tells Windows what to do automatically.
This autorun can be used to make good, or bad USB’s depending on what you like.
This tutorial covers:
Creating a USB Autorun.inf
Changing labelicon of thumbdrive
Making a new option appear in the autorun menu
Making programs automatically run when plugged in
Creating a USB Autorun.inf
Changing labelicon of thumbdrive
Making a new option appear in the autorun menu
Making programs automatically run when plugged in
So Read On…
Creating a USB Autorun.inf :
Creating a USB Autorun.inf :
To create an autorun file, open Notepad and save ‘autorun.inf’’ (with quotes) and save it to the root of the drive. All it needs to have is in the first line;
[autorun]
[autorun]
Done!
Changing labelicon of thumbdrive:
Follow the steps in Creating a USB Autorun.inf. Before you save it, type this in in this order!
[autorun]
icon=myicon.ico
label=MyLabel
[autorun]
icon=myicon.ico
label=MyLabel
And save. Make sure the icon file is in the root of your drive.
Making a new option appear in the autorun menu:
Right, so make your autorun file and type this into Notepad:
[autorun]icon=default
label=[yourlabelhere]
action=programname.exe
[autorun]icon=default
label=[yourlabelhere]
action=programname.exe
Open Program
Save it and exit. Once again, the program has to be in the root. Now, when you plug it in, the option should appear in the menu.
Making programs automatically run when the USB is plugged in:
Follow the same instructions, blah blah blah;
[autorun]Icon=default
label=YourLabelHere
open=programname.exe
[autorun]Icon=default
label=YourLabelHere
open=programname.exe
And that’s it for this tutorial!
